Butyl inner tubes and rim flaps for tube-type agricultural, industrial and construction tyres, with the valve types used on tractors, trailers, forklifts and loaders.
Many agricultural and industrial tyres are still tube-type (marked TT): the casing is not airtight on its own and relies on an inner tube. A tubeless tyre (TL) can also be fitted with a tube on a multi-piece or damaged rim, or when a slow leak through an old rim cannot be sealed. Fitting a new tube with every new tube-type tyre is cheap insurance — an old tube stretched to the shape of the old tyre chafes and fails.
Size. A tube is marked with the tyre size or a size range (for example 16.9/18.4-30). Use a tube that matches the tyre size exactly or is listed for it — a tube that is too small stretches thin, one that is too large folds and pinches.
Valve. The valve must suit the rim hole and the machine:
Material. Butyl rubber holds air far better than natural rubber and is the standard for all sizes we stock.
On multi-piece rims and on rims with rough spoke holes, a rim flap (rim band) lies between the tube and the rim to protect the tube from the lock ring and valve hole edges. Flaps are sized by rim diameter and width, for example 24-8.0 or 25-10.
Tubes and flaps are usually ordered together with the tyre. Tell us the tyre size and the rim type and we will add the matching tube and flap to the quote.
